Privacy
Short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not sell anything about you, and you can have it deleted by asking.
What this site collects
Three things, and nothing else. If you join the email list, we keep the address you give us so we can send the weekly note. If you are one of the two people running this and you use the private upload page, we keep what you send, which is the photos, clips and notes from the road. And every visit is counted by Google Analytics, which records things like which pages were opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device it was on, with the IP address shortened before it is stored.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from another. Nothing on this site needs them to work, so you can block or clear them and the pages will behave exactly the same.
Who else sees it
The site runs on Netlify, the analytics are Google's, and the email list is handled by the newsletter tool named in the note you receive. Those companies process this data on our behalf. Nobody buys it, and we do not pass addresses to shelters, sponsors or anyone else.
Animals and shelters
Dogs featured from shelters are posted with the shelter's knowledge, using the name and details the shelter publishes itself. If a shelter wants a dog removed from the site, write and it comes down the same day.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately. If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, write to hello@gordygoesnorth.com and we will do it rather than argue about it.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date below changes with it.
